While freelancing for Google I worked on a variety of projects, Primarily animating instructional videos for the Google Pixel phone, known as "pixel tips".
Those videos are native to the pixel phones and function as a means to get the user acquainted with the phone's many features.
you can see a variety of the many pixel tips i've worked on, in this highlight reel which I also edited for the google pixel launch.
the completed pixel tips also had to be localized across eight different languages and multiple digital platforms. A typical round of pixel tips ranged from eight to twelve videos. the production process required a certain degree of screen recording as well as working with figma files.
we worked closely with the google development team in order to understand each specific feature on the phone while it was in the middle of being finalized. This required meticulous planning and organization as at any point a phone feature might change in the way it operates, which would have an impact on the final animation.
I also edited live action instructional videos for Google’s Youtube channel. These also had to be localized across multiple languages, which meant working with multiple foreign language VO artists, as well as tracking and compositing shots to the live action footage.
